in brief...

My "cousins" came to visit. Ben got a puppy. Gisela's getting married. (I partially blame the last one on you, you lamaze stuffed animal. You broke the seal.)

summertime

Not been up to much. Hanging with the locals. Drinking with the locals. Maple street bars a lot. Crossing restaurants off my list: Try the house burger at Table One and the kurobuta pork belly at Lilette. Seeing summer movies. Live Free or Die Hard is awesome. Ratatouille should be seen on a full stomach and/or en route to a nice dinner. Harry Potter and Transformers are on the list.

July already?

Yeah, I'm not where the last month went either. I'm back home in New Orleans and am subletting an apartment on Pine. New roommates, both cool guys. Went out with them the other night for a few doubles, carbombs, and games of Foosball. Yesterday was The Fourth, so I went to Mon Mon & Jon Jon's (i.e. Monica and Adrian) little celebration. T'was supposed to be in her yard, but the rain location was his house. Keg, barbeque (burgers, hot dogs, ribeye), frat brothers, sorority sisters, random friends/family, Goldeneye on 64. Good times. Left to go watch the fireworks on top of the parking garage with Stephanie, Sylvia, and Peter. I forgot the view from there rivals the one on top of Stern.

how y'all been?

Personally, I've been busy. I graduated. T'was fun. Lots of family members came down to see me graduate New Orleans. My grandfather threw a graduation party for me at The Columns, which was awesome. A lot of my friends and most of my beloved, closest friends were there... including a few out-of-towners who were around for the weekend. A select few, who survived the open bar, made it to the after-party at Madigan's. My mom took me to Barcelona as a graduation gift (one of the many she bestowed upon me) slash as a push-in-the-right-direction. That week was great. Sightseeing. Sangria. Sleeping. It was fantastic. California for Camille's confirmation. I was her sponsor. A weekend with my favorite cousins and a little time jet skiing on the lake. Back home in DC, I caught up with some old friends and spent some time with the family. A little bit of local Tulane Happy Hour. Finally got to make it to my friend from high school Alex's annual Shkev Fest, which was a blast and gave me a chance to catch up with some other old friends. Made my way back down to New Orleans, where I've been settling in and hanging out with my brother, his girlfriend, and all my other graduated friends who've stuck around for the summer.
